During the DEsire Project Seminar held in Gliwice on September 27, the founding agreement of the DEsire Energy Transformation Platform was officially signed.
The signatories of the agreement were representatives of the three largest universities operating in Silesia and Zagłębie, in the persons of Prof. Marcin Stanek, Vice-Rector for Cooperation with the Social and Economic Environment of the Silesian University of Technology; Dr. Mirosław Pawełczyk, Prof. UŚ., representing the Rector of the University of Silesia in Katowice; and Prof. Maciej Nowak, Vice-Rector for Science and Academic Staff Development of the University of Economics in Katowice.
The agreement defines the principles of long-term cooperation in the initiation and implementation of joint scientific and research and development projects, as well as activities aimed at creating a scientific and research hub promoting the ideas of equitable energy transition. The Platform will work to popularize and deepen knowledge on various possible paths to decarbonization.
The piloting of the Platform is a result of the DEsire project. The Platform is open and an entity, institution or organization active in the field of energy decarbonization can become a member. Participation in PTE DEsire is based on the principles of voluntariness and willingness to cooperate.
