The main task of the Power Transformation Cluster is to undertake actions initiating the research and advisory activity of its team of experts. The team of experts will be appointed for this specific purpose and will have complex knowledge of all the components important for the preparation and conduct Coal-to-Nuclear technology investment processes. The tasks of the Cluster team will include informing, advising, creating solutions, searching for contacts and other activities aimed at supporting a broadly defined group of stakeholders in acquiring knowledge about the decarbonisation path specified for the project.
The activity of the Power Transformation Cluster will allow to identify national entities capable of supporting investment processes. Moreover, the Cluster will initiate activities in the area of industrial entities, aimed at obtaining the competences and licenses required in this field. Information and popularization actions, using the information exchange forum, seminars and conferences, will lead to fill the competency gap that has been identified within the broadly defined group of stakeholders (energy groups, design offices, government and non-governmental administration entities, machinery and equipment manufacturers, research institutes, universities), and which concerns nuclear technologies.
The formula of the Power Transformation Cluster assumes a two-stage development activity. In the first stage, as part of the Cluster pilot, the activity will be profiled in accordance with the subject of the project and its aim will be, among others, to fill the competency gap identified in the broadly understood environment of stakeholders, for whom the implementation of nuclear technologies is still very often associated with a process that is distant in time and not worthwhile in terms of business. In the second stage, which goes beyond the pilot activities planned under the project, the Cluster will transform gradually to become a research and advisory base organizing support for stakeholders interested in all possible paths of energy transformation. The Cluster is to conduct reliable advisory activity and it is to be perceived as such.
