On November 7th-8th, 2024, DEsire team members Łukasz Bartela and Dorota Homa undertook a study visit to South Korea, during which they participated in a meeting of the international Repower Initiative community. Over forty people representing 27 institutions from around the world attended the meeting in Seoul. The goal of the meeting was to exchange experiences gained in efforts to decarbonize large coal-fired power generation systems while maintaining their energy-efficient nature. Łukasz Bartela presented the assumptions and initial results of the DEsire project, while Dorota Homa discussed planned future work.
During the final session of the autumn meeting, our representatives had the great pleasure of inviting the Repower community to the next meeting, which will be held in Katowice in March 2025 and will be a side event of the Repower World Summit 2025.
