Nuclear energy group meeting

The DEsire project was represented at the second meeting of the nuclear energy group organized by the UN Global Compact Network Poland, an initiative of the UN Secretary General. The meeting was held on 13th October 2022 and it concerned NUCLEAR ENERGY IN THE CONTEXT OF DECARBONIZATION OF THE HEATING SECTOR.

In the first part of the meeting, Adam Rajewski, vice-president of the nuclear.pl Foundation and lecturer at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology, gave a lecture on technical conditions and the current state of nuclear cogeneration.

In the second part of the meeting, Łukasz Bartela, representing the DEsire project, provided information on the Coal-to-Nuclear decarbonization path for power industry.

The meeting was hosted by Paweł Gajda, lecturer at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków and UN Global Compact Network Poland Expert.
