Monograph: Atom, Climate, Energy Security

In October 2024, the Polish Senate hosted the conference “Atom, Climate, Energy Security.” A post-conference monograph has now been published, containing the theses and conclusions formulated and organized by experts who discussed the role of nuclear energy in Poland’s energy transition during the conference.

One of the chapters in the monograph was prepared by Łukasz Bartela, the DEsire project manager. The chapter, titled “From Coal to Nuclear Power – On the Path to Security,” directly references the DEsire project.

The authors also included: Carl Berglöf – national coordinator for the expansion of nuclear energy in Sweden, Andrzej Mikulski – senior Polish nuclear energy expert, Janusz Wojtkowiak (Poznań University of Technology), Elżbieta Fornalik-Wajs (AGH University of Krakow), Dagmara Strumińska-Parulska (University of Gdańsk), Adam Kisiel (Warsaw University of Technology), Wacław Gudowski (ORLEN Synthos Green Energy).
