As part of the 34th edition of the School of Underground Mining, a high-level plenary session took place at the historic Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Kraków, featuring a panel discussion titled “From Coal to Nuclear – Global Trends and the Transformation of Mining in Light of Poland’s Nuclear Energy Development.”
The discussion brought together experts from academia, industry, and public administration, all united by a shared commitment to supporting Poland’s energy transition through nuclear investment.

The panel served as an opportunity to reflect on the challenges and opportunities facing the Polish mining and energy sectors in light of future nuclear developments.
