III Scientific and Technical Conference, entitled “The Role of Conventional Units in the Evolution of the Energy Sector,” took place in Bełchatów from May 28 to 30, 2025. The event was jointly organized by the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers (SEP), PGE Górnictwo i Energetyka Konwencjonalna (PGE Mining and Conventional Energy), and the Lodz University of Technology.
The event brought together numerous representatives from the scientific community and the energy industry. One of the key highlights of the program was a panel discussion with Jacek Kaczorowski, President of the Polish Power Plants Economic Association. The discussions focused on the challenges and prospects facing conventional units in the context of the energy transition and the development of nuclear energy.
