On 17 December 2022, a conference entitled. “Opole power plant – what next? The future of Opole power plant in the context of the EU Energy Policy”.<\/p>\n
The conference was held in the Auditorium of the Opole University of Technology. The DEsire project was represented by Prof. \u0141ukasz Bartela, who delivered a presentation entitled. “Coal-to-Nuclear as a transformation path for the energy sector in Poland”. The conference was attended by members of the\u00a0European Parliament<\/a>, representatives of the Ministry of Climate and Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Atomic Energy Agency. Also present were representatives of local government, science and business.<\/p>\n During the conference, the future of the Opole Power Plant was discussed in the light of the policy to move away from coal.
