The inaugurating conference

On 12th May 2022, the conference inaugurating the DEsire project was held at the Education and Congress Centre of the Silesian University of Technology. The conference was divided into three parts – during the first one, Project Manager Łukasz Bartela, PhD, DSc, focused on presenting the research challenges faced by the entities forming the project consortium. Then, organizations active in the research and implementation of nuclear energy shared their experiences. The conference was closed with a discussion panel attended by representatives of entities interested in implementing the decarbonization path in line with the Coal-to-Nuclear philosophy.

During the conference, the main assumptions of the Power Industry Transformation Cluster, which is to be launched as part of the project, were also presented.
