Partnership between Tauron Polska Energia and the Silesian University of Technology

On June 22, 2023, a letter of intent was signed between Tauron Polska Energia S.A. and the Silesian University of Technology. The signatures under the letter formulating the intentions of cooperation for effective energy transition were placed by the University’s JM Rector Prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk, Tauron Polska Energia CEO Paweł Szczeszek and Tauron Polska Energia Vice President for Strategy and Development Patryk Demski. Among the areas of future cooperation, the letter of intent indicates active participation in the Energy Transition Cluster, which is to be one of the two most important outcomes of the DEsire project. The development of energy storage technologies, including with the use of postmining infrastructure, was also indicated among the initiated activities.
