Partnership between OSGE and the Silesian University of Technology

On April 28, 2023, a letter of intent was signed between ORLEN Synthos Green Energy sp. z o.o. and the Silesian University of Technology. ORLEN Synthos Green Energy is a joint venture established by Synthos Green Energy SA and PKN ORLEN SA. Its goal is to develop zero-emission energy sources, and in particular to implement the BWRX-300 modular nuclear reactor technology.
The cooperation between the Silesian University of Technology and ORLEN Synthos Green Energy will concern projects related to the process of decarbonization of the Polish professional energy sector, including through the use of nuclear reactors. Also planned are joint activities within the framework of the Power Industry Transformation Cluster, which will be piloted in the DEsire project.
